Diversity and Inclusion in Communications: Why it Matters and How it Leads to Innovation
By 2050, 53% of the United States will be made up of people of color. In 2020, 46% of the workforce will be Millennials. And, in 2010, 19% of the US population reported that they had a physical and/or intellectual disability, according to the 2010 Census. As communicators of products, services, and movements, now more than ever, the advertising and public relations industries must be cognizant and understanding of all of the audiences we must reach to be truly effective in our strategies and approaches.
